Itinerary
(Day 1) Signagi-Gremi-Nekresi-Telavi: Drive to Kakheti, visit Signagi fortified city and Bodbe Nunnery, offering views of Alazani Valley and Caucasus. Drive along the foot of Caucasus, visit Gremi fortress and hike up to Nekresi Monastery complex (3 hours), built in the 4th century. Sleep in Telavi hotel, meal: dinner. (Day 2) Alaverdi-Tsinandali-Mzkheta: visit Telavi food market and Alaverdi Cathedral, built in the XI century. Visit Tsinandali estate - known for its beautiful garden. Continue to family winery, lunch and taste homemade wines. Sleep in Mzkheta hotel, meals: breakfast & lunch. (Day 3) Jvari-Ananuri-Gudauri-Kazbegi: visit Mzkheta and Jvari Church. Continue to Zhinvali reservoir and visit Ananuri castle. Follow the road through mountains and via Gudauri arrive in Stephantsminda village. Dinner in a local family and taste Khinkali. Sleep in Kazbegi hotel, meals: breakfast & dinner. (Day 4) Gergeti-Juta village-Tbilisi: explore kazbegi area and visit Gergeti Church, offering views of Dariali valley and Mkinvarsveri mountain. Continue to Juta village - one of the highest settlements (2200 m), hike to Chaukhi Mountains (5 hours). Drive to Tbilisi. Meals: breakfast & picnic
